Dental Implants, Who Can Benefit From Them?

Dental Implants, Who Can Benefit From Them?Implants are small metallic pieces placed in the jawbone, under the gums. Once we secure them in place, we will then place either a bridge or a fixed crown over them. They serve to replace lost teeth, both functionally and aesthetically.

Prosthetics and bridges placed on implants do not slip or run in the mouth, which is important for chewing and speaking comfortably. This adaptation helps prostheses and bridges feel more natural than conventional methods.

Is A Dental Implant A Good Option?

Some patients find ordinary dental bridges to be somewhat uncomfortable, as they can irritate the mouth due to having too-small edges. Other patients report that they can also cause nausea. In addition, traditional bridges need an attachment process to the teeth on both sides of the void.

One of the benefits of getting dental implants is the fact that we do not need to change the size or shape of the adjacent teeth to hold the restoration. Not only that, but their fixed nature makes it impossible to lose or forget to put them back on every day.

Benefits of Dental Implants

Dental implants are highly comfortable restorative options, and they improve the ability to chew and bite on endentulous patients so they can recover the full functionality of their smiles. In fact, implants are the only restorative prosthetics as strong as natural teeth, since the metallic piece fixed in the jawbone simulates the work of the root of teeth.

Among other things, implants are easy to maintain and can last for decades with proper hygiene and routine care. Their placement does not compromise adjacent teeth, and they highly improve the aesthetics of patients, as we design them to look and feel like natural teeth.

Dental implants are the best solution for replacing missing teeth. They are sturdy, reliable, and provide patients with the smile they deserve. Please contact us today if you want to know more about dental implants and the benefits they offer.
